What's in 'Boards and management committees'

This program is designed for members of boards or management committees and for other people, such as Managers and other staff members, who work with boards or or management committees. This program covers the basic skills required to work effectively as a member of a board or or management committee, or to work with a board or committee as an employee. The module will assist to you to:

• Understand the governance function and responsibility of a board or or management committee
• Understand the various roles and responsibilities of those working with boards or or management committees
• Develop policies and procedures that support the viability and accountability of the board or or management committee
• Recognise and encourage good governance practices.

This program consists of a number of sessions. You can select particular topics you wish to work on or work through the entire program.

The first time you open each training session, it will take a minute or so to download. You will also need to ensure that the speakers and the sound on your computer are turned on.
