What's in 'Streamlining systems'

This module guides the organisation in reviewing the main systems that support the efficient operation of the organisation and its business. This module assists the organisation to ensure that:

  • there are efficient systems for collecting, storing, retrieving and using information within the organisation
  • the practices of the organisation are guided by policies and procedures, in a format that is practical and accessible
  • equipment and technical infrastructure are assessed and plans for upgrading within available resources are developed
  • effective systems are in place to assess and manage risks to the organisation.

This module may be completed as a group exercise, or a similar review can be completed by one or two people conducting a systems audit (use Tool: Systems audit), and Activity 5 of this module.
